The Old Line Tailgate co. barbecue trailer at Rocky Point Creamery – customers with ice cream and plates crossing the gravel lot in front of the red farm market

Summer Residency · Point of Rocks, MD

Old Line at
Rocky Point Creamery

The smoker lives at the farm all summer – Wed–Sun, 12 – 7, through September 30. Barbecue at the window, a hundred and twenty flavors of ice cream twenty steps away.

The Farm

Worth the drive on its own.

Rocky Point Creamery is a working dairy farm the same family has run since 1883 – a designated Maryland Century Farm. Get your plate at the window, then make an evening of it: picnic tables, a playground for the kids, and ice cream churned right there on the property.

Since 1883

The feed grows here, the herd lives here, the milk never leaves. One family, one piece of land, a hundred and forty years of dairy farming.

The Ice Cream

120-plus homemade flavors, churned steps from the herd. Their Sweet Cream is nothing but the farm’s own milk and cream – dessert doesn’t get more local.

The Sunflowers

Two acres bloom mid-July into fall – a dollar a stem on the honor system, every dollar to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

From the Window

Real Maryland barbecue, built your way.

Pick a meat, pick your bread, pick a side – coleslaw and a pickle spear ride along on every plate.

Smoked ribs off the Old Line pit

Off the Smoker

Beef brisket smoked 12 hours over Texas oak charcoal – plus pulled pork in a vinegar-and-butter mop, black-pepper sausage, and coal-fired BBQ chicken.

A loaded Old Line barbecue sandwich

Off the Grill

The Smoke Burger – smoked patty, American cheese, BBQ aioli, house pickles, smoked bacon and onion jam – and the quarter-pound Old Line Dog.

A full Old Line barbecue spread with sides

The Sides

Sweet cornbread and butter, homemade potato salad, BBQ baked beans, and creamy mac & cheese – made from scratch, same as the meat.

The taproom at Sandbox Brewhouse Up Next · October 1

Fall & Winter Residency

Come October, the smoker moves downtown.

Sandbox Brewhouse – Frederick’s family-run, woman-owned taproom on North East Street. Sandbox keeps no kitchen of its own; food trucks feed the taproom. From October 1, that kitchen is us – Wed–Sun, 12 – 9, alongside trivia nights, open mics, board games, and live music Fridays.
